How does it work?
Step 1
First, you will need to register to this website. While in Private Beta testing phase, an invitation code will be necessary to do it. Unless you already received one, you can request it via the contact form. Visit the register form to do that, you will find a link in the right sidebar.
Step 2
When logged in, you will be able to download your copy of the desktop client. Do it.

Step 3
Run the application, and choose an output directory. When done, click “Recharge” button. This is the moment when your client asks the server for your license and, when authorised properly, receives all resources.
Step 4
The first run after downloading the application should end up with a message saying that a new workstation was registered to your license and that it needs an activation.

Step 5
To activate the workstation, get back to the page you downloaded the client from. There should now be a table with your activation request. Accept the request.

Step 6
When the workstation is registered and activated, you can “Recharge” your client again. The battery on the left should fill to the top. From now on, it will tell you how long your license will remain valid. Move the cursor over the battery image to get a more precise measure.

Step 7
Last step is taken with the “Bring to life” button. Note, that you need to have your Microsoft Visio™ document opened and focused in order to make it accessible for the desktop client. For the first time, I recommend using the document included in the demo package. When you are ready, click “Bring to life”.
If there are any errors during the export process, please send them as bug reports. Otherwise, you should now be able to test your newly created export in a browser of your choice.

Post scriptum
In most cases, you will want to keep the desktop client running - you can get back to it after making some changes in the source document, and export this new version with only one click on “Bring to life” button. The client will warn you if there are any files that would need to be overwritten, and you will be prompted either to overwrite them or to abort the export.
